Anxiety patients<\/h1><\/div>

Most people don’t like going to the dentist because they feel at the mercy of the dentist’s chair. The treatment is unpleasant because painful treatment steps can occur at any time and it is not always clear what is happening in the mouth. If the fear is so strong that a visit to the dentist is avoided, this is an anxiety disorder. We strive to make your visit to the dentist as pleasant as possible. It is important that you make us aware of your dental anxiety so that we can react accordingly. If you are afraid of the anesthetic, the gums can be numbed beforehand with a surface anesthetic so that the injection is not so painful. We will agree a signal with you, such as raising your left hand, when the treatment is to be interrupted. This allows you to decide at any time when you need a break, as you have difficulty articulating during the treatment. In some cases, it may be necessary to use additional relaxation techniques or sedative medication, which should be administered in consultation with your GP. We often manage to find a way out of your treatment anxiety with you. In some cases, however, therapy with a psychotherapist or treatment under anesthesia may be necessary.
